В политической группе наиболее актуальным и срочным вопросом на данный момент является продление закона об особом статусе Донбасса и последующее введение его в силу на постоянной основе согласно механизму Штаймайера, прокомментировала итоги работы в Минске Полномочный представитель ДНР на переговорах Трехсторонней контактной группы Наталья Никонорова.
«При этом украинская сторона не демонстрирует понимания всей важности как можно более скорого решения данного вопроса. Киев гораздо больше заинтересован сделать все возможное для того, чтобы максимально затянуть ход мирного урегулирования.
На это также может негативно повлиять смена переговорщиков — сегодня на заседании Контактной группы была официально подтверждена информация об отставке Леонида Кучмы. Как опытный управленец и дипломат, Кучма вносил трезвую ноту адекватности в переговорный процесс от украинской стороны. Мы уважаем его решение, но имеет значение и время, выбранное для ухода — когда наиболее остро стоит вопрос по продлению особого статуса Донбасса и реализации обязательств Украины по амнистии и децентрализации. Ни один из этих пунктов не выполнен Киевом и политической воли у нынешнего руководства Украины для этого пока нет», — заявила Никонорова.
В этих условиях полпредом ДНР особо была акцентирована необходимость скорейшего разблокирования работы группы по политическим вопросам и необходимости начать конструктивную работу.

This could also be negatively affected by the change of negotiators — today at the meeting of the Contact Group informationon the resignation of Leonid Kuchma was officially confirmed. As an experiencedgovernment and diplomatic official, Kuchma brought a spot of commonsense to the negotiation process from the Ukrainian side. We respect his decision, but the time chosen for the resignations also matters when the most urgent issue is to extend the special status of Donbass and fulfill Ukraine’s obligations on amnesty and decentralization. None of these provisions has been fulfilled by Kiev and the current leadership of Ukraine have no political will for this yet,” Nikonorova said.
In the midst of this, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR particularly emphasized the need to unblock the work of the group on political issues as soon as possible and the need to proceed with constructive work.
