Заместитель председателя Комитета Народного Совета по внешней политике, международным связям, информационной политике и информационным технологиям, депутат НС ДНР Ирина Попова в интервью корреспонденту официального сайта ДНР рассказала о возможных трагических последствиях для наших земляков в связи с объявленным Порошенко военным положением, а также, каких прав и свобод лишатся граждане подконтрольных Киеву территорий, на которых оно будет действовать.
«Можно прогнозировать ужесточение цензуры на Украине по всем направлениям, так как военное положение – очень удобный инструмент для того, чтобы заставить замолчать всех недовольных; заставить прекратить возмущаться тем положением вещей, которое сегодня реально существует на Украине. То есть, таким образом будут запрещены оппозиционные СМИ, любые митинги и собрания, высказывания и комментарии и т.д. Я думаю, подобные меры, по мнению Порошенко, поспособствуют поднятию рейтингов в преддверии выборов. На самом деле международным организациям давно пора обратить внимание на ситуацию на Украине со свободой слова», — отметила депутат.
Также в ходе беседы с корреспондентом парламентарий отметила губительную силу и опасность военного положения на территории Донецкой области, подконтрольной официальному Киеву. В частности, депутат рассказала о новых фактах преступлений против мирных граждан в Мариуполе.
«Уже сегодня возникает масса угроз, связанных с введением военного положения в Мариуполе. В первую очередь стоит отметить усиление там военных и военизированных структур. В связи с введенным военным положением у карательных батальонов, которые базируются там с 2014 года, полностью развязаны руки», — прокомментировала Ирина Попова.

“It is possible to predict the tightening of censorship in Ukraine in all the areas, since martial law is a very convenient tool to silence all the disaffected; make them stop being indignant at the state of affairs that today really exists in Ukraine. That is, in this way, opposition media, any meetings or rallies, statements and comments, etc. will be banned. I think such measures, according to Poroshenko, will contribute to raising his rating on the eve of the election. In fact, it is high time for international organizations to pay attention to the situation regarding the freedom of speech in Ukraine,”the deputy emphasized.
Also during the conversation with the correspondent, the parliamentarian noted the devastating effect and danger of martial law in the territory of Donetsk region controlled by the official Kiev. In particular, the deputy told about new facts of crimes against civilians in Mariupol.
“For today, there has already been a mass of threats associated with the imposition of martial law in Mariupol. First of all, it is worth noting the reinforcements of the armed formations and paramilitaries there. In connection with the martial law imposed, the hands of the punitive battalions that have been stationed there since 2014 are completely untied,” Irina Popova commented.
