С началом военных действий на Донецкой земле активную помощь городу и его жителям начали оказывать города Российской Федерации. О развитии таких братских и дружеских связей в интервью корреспонденту официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики рассказал и.о. главы администрации Донецка Алексей Кулемзин.
«Насколько мне известно, с началом военных действий администрация Донецка направила письма всем городам-побратимам с просьбой о помощи. Но ни один европейский город не откликнулся.
Что касается городов Российской Федерации, то такого количества братской помощи мы не могли себе представить. Официально мы подписали соглашение с Симферополем в 2018 году. А совместно с «Землячеством донбассовцев» мы реализовываем проект «Берегиня» по высадке роз Донбасса на территории российских городов. Мы высаживали розы в Москве, в Кисловодске, в Ставрополе, в Ростове-на-Дону. Этот проект получил развитие.
Мы планируем продолжать этот проект. Уже есть приглашения из Грозного, Санкт-Петербурга, Владикавказа, Сухуми. Для чего? Чтобы строить те мостки народной дипломатии, по которым потом пойдут экономика, бизнес, культура», — сказал Алексей Кулемзин.
Напомним, что в довоенное время побратимами города-героя Донецка считались Бохум (Германия), Тайюань (Китай), Шеффилд (Великобритания), Шарлеруа (Бельгия), Вильнюс (Литва), Катовице (Польша) и другие.

As for the cities and towns of the Russian Federation, we could not imagine such a large amount of fraternal assistance. Officially, we signed an agreement with Simferopol in 2018. And together with the Association of Donbass Fellow-Countrymen we are implementing the Bereginya project for planting roses of Donbass in the territory of Russian cities. We planted roses in Moscow, Kislovodsk, Stavropol, Rostov-on-Don. This project has worked out.
We are planning to continue this project. There have already been invitations from Grozny, St. Petersburg, Vladikavkaz, from their Sukhumi. For what? To build those bridges of national diplomacy, over which the economy, business and culture will be going,” Alexey Kulemzin said.
Recall that in the prewar period, Bochum (Germany), Taiyuan (China), Sheffield (Great Britain), Charleroi (Belgium), Vilnius (Lithuania), Katowice (Poland), and others, were considered to be sister cities of the hero-city of Donetsk.
