В экспозиционном зале Донецкого республиканского краеведческого музея «Тайны мировой нумизматики» начала работу мини-выставка «Война и деньги». Как сообщает пресс-служба ДРКМ, вниманию посетителей представлено свыше 50 единиц бумажных денежных знаков стран-участниц Второй мировой войны (1.09.1939–2.09.1945).
Среди экспонатов – банкноты стран антигитлеровской коалиции: Великобритании (фунты стерлингов 1930–1948 гг.), Канады (доллары 1937 г.), Бельгии (франки 1938–1944 гг.) и Франции (франки 1941–1944 гг.), а также банкноты Германии довоенного (рейхсмарки 1929–1936 гг.), военного (марки 1939–1945 гг.) и оккупационного (марки 1944 г., напечатанные в США) периодов.
Коллекцию бумажных денежных знаков в ДНР привёз житель Канады. В рамках акции ДРКМ «Дни дарения» боны в музей передала жительница Петровского района Донецка Людмила Бентли, супруга сослуживца канадского добровольца.
A mini-exhibition “War and Money” has started in the showroom of the Donetsk Republic Local History Museum “Secrets of the World Numismatics”. According to the press service of the museum, over 50 units of paper banknotes of the countries participating in the Second World War (September 1st, 1939 – September 2nd, 1945) are displayed for the visitors.
Among the exhibits, there are banknotes from the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition: Great Britain (pounds sterling of 1930-1948), Canada (dollars of 1937), Belgium (francs of 1938-1944) and France (francs of 1941-1944), and also banknotes of the pre-war Germany (Reichsmarks of 1929 — 1936), the wartime (marks of 1939 — 1945) and the occupation period (marks of 1944 produced by the United States).
A resident of Canada brought the collection of paper banknotes in the DPR. As part of the Donation Days action in the museum, Lyudmila Bentley, a resident of Petrovsky District of Donetsk, spouse of the Canadian volunteer’s colleague, donated the paper money to the museum.
