В связи с назначением нового официального представителя от Украины в гуманитарной подгруппе Трехсторонней контактной группы по урегулированию ситуации в Донбассе сегодняшняя рабочая встреча в Минске носила ознакомительный характер.
Обсуждая вопросы разблокирования переговорного процесса, мы указали на необходимость возобновления обмена информацией между сторонами и предоставления ответов на направленные ранее запросы по ключевым позициям.
По вопросу проведения обмена удерживаемыми лицами мы подтвердили готовность Донецкой Народной Республики к его осуществлению и открытость для обсуждения списков лиц, подлежащих обмену.
Основной темой второй половины заседания стало рассмотрение вопросов организации совместного поиска лиц, пропавших без вести. Удалось детально обсудить спектр возможных трудностей, начиная с юридических тонкостей и заканчивая практическими аспектами. Нам удалось выявить проблемные вопросы, которые требуют дополнительной проработки и будут рассмотрены на следующем заседании.
Я надеюсь, что начало работы гуманитарной подгруппы в таком плодотворном ключе будет способствовать скорейшей выработке и реализации механизмов решения вопросов, заявленных в повестке дня.

In connection with the appointment of a new official representative of Ukraine to the Tripartite Contact Group’s humanitarian subgroup on the settlement of the situation in Donbass, today’s working meeting in Minsk was introductory.
Discussing the issues of unblocking the negotiation process, we pointed out the need to resume the sharing of information between the parties and provide answers to previously sent requests on key standpoints.
Concerning the issue of holding the exchange of people detained, we confirmed the readiness of the Donetsk People’s Republic for its implementation and our openness to discuss the lists of people subject to the exchange.
The main topic of the second half of the meeting involved reviewing the issues of organizing a joint search for missing persons. It was possible to discuss in detail the range of possible difficulties, from legal subtleties to practical aspects. We were able to identify problematic issues that require additional study and will be considered at the next meeting.
I hope that the beginning of the work of the humanitarian subgroup in such a fruitful manner will contribute to the speedy elaboration and implementation of mechanisms for resolving issues appearing on the agenda.
