During today’s meeting, the security group was discussing the Ukrainian side’s failure to fulfill its obligations to eliminate violations in the previously disengaged Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka and Zolotoye areas. This is reported by the press service of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Ukrainian representatives, ignoring not only our arguments, but also the OSCE coordinators, continue to insist on compliance with the seven-day ceasefire regime. Firstly, this condition takes place only after a new disengagement, in our case, this is the elimination of violations in previously disengaged areas. Secondly, the ceasefire should operate on an ongoing basis, and if the AFU respected it, no claims to the seven-day regime would arise in principle,” DPR plenipotentiary Natalya Nikonorova noted.

She focused on the fact that the OSCE SMM reported the last attack on the village of Petrovskoye by Ukraine on September 28th.

“We are concerned about the situation and in this regard we call on the leadership of the OSCE and the guarantor countries of the Minsk agreements to influence the Ukrainian authorities in order to begin as soon as possible the process of eliminating violations at the previously disengaged pilot areas and resolving the situation in general,” the DPR plenipotentiary noted.

According to her, a real and stable ceasefire can be achieved if a number of terms that are outlined in additional measures for control and stabilization of this regime are met. In particular, the Ukrainian side needs to conduct proceedings into the violations and impose strict disciplinary measures on the violators.
