The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic reports violations of Donbass citizens’ rights by the Ukrainian party – the right to life and the right to security of person, the agency’s press office says.

Thus, on October 11, as a result of hostilities in the Novoazovsky district, a Republic’s military (born in 1969) suffered a blunt wound in the back on the left side, and on October 12 another Republic’s military (born in 1972) suffered blunt shrapnel flesh wounds in the left thigh and the right hand.

As a result of the explosion triggered by a trip-wire at the Novodevichy cemetery in the Proletarsky district of Donetsk, a female civilian (born in 1968) suffered an explosive injury, having had both arms and legs wounded, a male civilian (born in 1991) suffered shrapnel wounds in the hips, and a female civilian (born in 1968) suffered an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds in a shoulder, hips and anterior abdominal wall. Along with that, in another district of the city, a child born in 2006 suffered an explosive injury and an open fracture of the right lower leg due to the detonation of an unidentified explosive device.

A child born in 2010 sustained an explosive injury to an arm in a woodland near Starobeshevo.

On October 17, military personnel of the Republic (born in 1966 and 1999) were wounded in hostilities in the Novoazovsky district. And a female civilian (born in 1958) was superficially injured as a result of a provocative shelling of the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka.

From October 11 to October 17, 10 persons suffered wounds of varying severity in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of the armed aggression by Ukraine, including 4 military personnel of the Republic, 3 female civilians, 1 male civilian and 2 minors. One military of the Republic was killed.

4,873 persons, including 81 children, have been killed in the Donetsk People’s Republic since the outbreak of the armed conflict.
