A payment system compatible with the Russian one will be launched in the Republic soon, Rector of the Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Administration under the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Larisa Kostrovets said at the Plenary of the Donetsk International Investment Forum.
Among other things, she clearly stressed that, for external capital flows to be attracted, there is required introduction of an alternative payment system with a high degree of political independence and compatibility with Russian payment instruments.
“This project’s development is near to completion. It will be tested in the Republics in the immediate future. Such an approach will help reduce the politically motivated risks associated with doing business in the DPR territory, ensure the promptness of settlements, and will represent a significant step in creating favourable conditions for investment,” Kostrovets said.
