Today, on November 11, in line with the agenda of the plenary session, the deputies adopted the Resolution “On ensuring the security of the Donetsk People’s Republic on the sites of the disengagement of forces and hardware”, elaborated by the People’s Council Committee for Security and Defense. The text of the draft resolution was read out by deputy Vitaly Kravets, the press office of the People’s Council of the DPR reports.
The draft resolution submits a number of proposals proceeding from the danger of a potential induction of the contingent of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine to the demilitarized sites of the forces and hardware disengagement. These intentions, grossly violating the Supplements to the Package of Measures and the Framework Decision, have been announced by the Ukrainian party.
“In order to ensure the security of the Donetsk People’s Republic, its citizens, property and territory, to maintain peace and order and the rule of law on the areas of the disengagement of forces and hardware, as well as to implement the decisions of the Contact Group, the People’s Council decides that in the event if the induction of the contingent of the National Police and (or) the forces of the National Guard of Ukraine to the demilitarized disengagement site near the urban-type locality of Petrovskoye takes place in violation of Paragraph 8 of the Framework Decision of September 21, 2016, there should be reciprocally introduced units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Further disengagement of forces and hardware on the new sites will become impracticable until the Ukrainian forces are withdrawn from the corresponding disengagement areas,” the parliamentarian quoted the Resolution.
The Resolution was adopted unanimously. The document comes into force on the day of its adoption. The text of the Resolution will be available in the corresponding section of the official website of the People’s Council.
