The assassination attempt committed by Ukrainian radicals on Commander of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade Korostelyov brought as a consequence the intensification of the Joint Operations Forces Command headquarters’ resistance to nationalist formations including in other sections of the combat contact line.
Thus, today at 1:00 p.m., from the positions of the 37th battalion of the 56th separate mechanized infantry brigade near the locality of Opytnoye there was engaged fire with AGS-17 on the positions of the Kiev special regiment’s units which had been formed from the Maidan activists. The AFU military fired 40 grenades on the nationalists. Losses among personnel are being specified.
In the meantime, we have obtained from the Ukrainian volunteers additional information on the incident, related to the terrorist attack on the commander of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade. Thus, during the evacuation of the wounded servicemen, on the route to the hospital there occurred a traffic accident with a civilian vehicle involved, as a result of which sanitary instructor Ensign Rakhmana suffered a head injury, and the driver of the civilian vehicle was admitted to a hospital with broken ribs.
