Today, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin instructed to arrange improvements to the conditions for the admission of citizens at offices of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR.

“I have repeatedly stressed the fact that for residents of our Republic there should be created most convenient conditions in the process of obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation. In addition, there are problems in obtaining a passport of a DPR citizen, which causes  obvious discontent among residents of the Republic,” Denis Pushilin emphasized at the beginning of the meeting.

Further on, Acting Head of the Migration Service of the DPR Ministry of the Interior, Police Colonel Ruslan Opolonik, reported on the achievements in this field.

“In the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, there have been established 37 offices for issuing the Russian Federation’s passports. In order to intensify and increase the capacity, two additional offices have been opened, which made it possible to relieve social tension in Ilovaisk and Zugres. On November 8, a new office was opened in the town of Mospino, in the Proletarsky district of Donetsk. In addition, there are being considered the issues of opening additional offices for the admission of documents to apply for a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (2 offices with 6 assistants), one in Makeyevka with 4 assistants, one in Gorlovka with 3 assistants and one in Yenakiyevo with 4 assistants. This will make it possible to admit additionally up to 200 citizens per day. For this purpose, an interdepartmental agreement has been concluded with the Donbass Post state-owned enterprise,” he said.

The Head of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR noted that the officials are trying to make rational decisions that would improve the conditions for citizens’ admission. During the meeting, he drew attention to positive trends in this regard.

“Additional days and hours of citizens’ admission have been introduced. From November 12, on Mondays, a qualified admission of citizens is conducted in all operational fields. On Thursdays, there are admitted citizens willing to obtain Russian citizenship and minors willing to apply for a passport of the Donetsk People’s Republic. With a view to inform the public, a decision has been made to report on the status of the passport system on a weekly basis and provide answers to questions topical for citizens,” Ruslan Opolonik said.

Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin instructed the Migration Service of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with the administrations of cities and districts, to make arrangements for the improvement of citizens’ admission conditions and their comfortable stay in offices of the Migration Service. He stressed that this is very important with regard to the upcoming severe winter weather conditions.
