DPR People’s Council deputies Lyubomir Pushkin, Maria Pirogova and Yulia Mikhailova visited Vladimir Sheludko, a combat veteran of the Great Patriotic War, in Donetsk, a correspondent of the DPR official website reports.

The People’s Council deputies brought medications to the 98-year-old pensioner and provided him with the necessary assistance.

“We regularly visit Vladimir Sheludko, provide him with all kinds of assistance, as well as invite him to various events in the Republic. It is necessary that the elderly, first of all, feel that they are needed, that they are remembered, and veterans have something to tell the young generation about the history of our people and about the exploits of Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War,” Maria Pirogova said.

Yulia Mikhailova noted that there are very few veterans of the Great Patriotic War left, unfortunately, and it is very important to know them, remember and provide all kinds of help and support.

“Today we talked to Vladimir Sheludko, who looks great for his age. He says that the most important thing is to be a positive person and lead a healthy life. This is the secret of longevity,” Lyubomir Pushkin said.
