Works are underway to restore outdoor lighting in the areas affected by the hostilities, the press service of the Donetsk City Council reports.

“Today we are carrying out works on Krasnoznamennaya Street, where destructions were recorded due to shelling by Ukrainian militants. Restoration works are underway here now. We have assembled the damaged self-supporting insulated wire, and lamps are being replaced,” Nikolai Bely, Head of the Kuibyshevsky District’s outdoor lighting network No. 4 of the Donetsk Electric Utility Company, said.

He also added that in the Kuibyshevsky district there are 254 streets on the payroll of the Donetsk Electric Utility Company, and only 6 of them sustained no damage during the hostilities.

“Extensive works are also planned to be carried out in 2020 to restore street lighting in the areas affected by the Ukrainian aggression,” Nikolai Bely concluded.
