Today, on November 29, Donetsk hosted another plenary meeting as part of the autumn session of the DPR People’s Council, the 2nd convocation. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, during the plenary meeting, deputies considered a series of draft laws aimed at regulating various spheres of life of citizens of the Republic.

They considered the following draft laws on the agenda:

— On Amendments to the DPR Law On Physical Education and Sports, adopted after two readings, as amended;
— On Amendments to Certain Laws of the Donetsk People’s Republic Regulating Relationship in the Healthcare System, adopted after two readings, as amended;
— On the State Border of the Donetsk People’s Republic, adopted after two readings.

“I would like to draw special attention to the fact that today we adopted the Law On the State Border of the Donetsk People’s Republic. It determines the order of the protection and defense of our state border. This law pays due regard to those people who live in the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine. We remember that in May 2014 they held the referendum together with us. Therefore, the border is based on the boundaries of the Donetsk Region as of 2014.

This draft law also provides that until the dispute between Ukraine and the DPR is settled, in accordance with Article 40 of this law, the border shall pass along the line of contact.

Separately, I want to emphasize that this law does not contradict the Minsk Agreements,” Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka commented.

A total of 76 deputies took part in the meeting.
