For residents of Donbass, the St. George’s Ribbon has become an integral attribute of statehood, as well as a symbol of the unification and continuity of generations. Loyalty to traditions, reverence and gratitude to ancestors-liberators have long been part of the national identity of our multinational people.
The St. George’s Ribbon inspires us as heirs of the winners to new accomplishments and achievements. We have things to defend and fight for. Indeed, now the St. George’s ribbon has acquired yet another sense as it has become a symbol of the unity of the Russian world, a part of which has always been, is now and will be Donbass.
