Dear fellow countrymen, I congratulate you on St. George’s Ribbon Day!
For all of us, Donbass residents, the St. George ribbon is a symbol of the Great Victory, a symbol of courage, valour and fortitude of our people. And it assumed particular importance for us in 2014, becoming a connecting link between generations, a demonstration of cohesion and unity of the Russian World.
Defenders of the Donetsk People’s Republic, attaching a St. George’s ribbon to uniforms and arms, fought back the enemy, defended the freedom and independence of our country. And each our victory proves that we come from a legacy of victors.
The duty of each and every one of us is to preserve the memory and traditions of our ancestors, we will not let anyone rewrite history. As long as history, truth and justice thrive in our hearts, our country has a happy future to look forward!
