Today, on December 9, on the occasion of Hero of the Fatherland Day, an event named “We Remember You, Our Veterans” took place in the Republic. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, head of Voroshilovsky District’s administration of Donetsk Vladislav Latyntsev, as well as activists of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, congratulated the veterans on this day.
“On December 9, we celebrate Hero of the Fatherland Day. Today all cities and towns of the Republic are holding various events to pay homage to our heroes and their exploits. Activists of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement delivered and handed food packages over to the war veterans and provided all the necessary assistance in housework. On this day, we pay tribute to those who stood up for the defense of the Fatherland during the Great Patriotic War, and to those who today defend the borders of our Republic,” Vladislav Latyntsev said.
He also noted that the problems of veterans in Voroshilovsky District are handled by the Council of Veterans, whose chairman helps all those who applied in the administration’s premises. In addition, the organization’s branches are stationed in public utilities offices of the district.
