Ukrainian occupiers persevere in their attempts to provoke return fire from us in anticipation of the Normandy meeting. Today, between 13:45 and 13:50, Ukrainian militants from the 58th mechanized infantry brigade and the 59th brigade launched an attack on the environs of the villages of Mine 6/7 and Golmovsky with 82mm and 120mm mortars.
The staff of the DPR office to the JCCC also reported these violations.
In total, the armed formations of Ukraine fired 10 mortar shells on the environs of the peaceful settlements on the Gorlovka front.
Information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and casualties among the civilian population is being specified.
According to operational data obtained by our intelligence, the shelling was carried out by representatives of nationalist organizations of Ukraine, currently serving in the AFU.
We do not rule out that with this shelling, in addition to provoking us into return fire, the nationalists demonstrated their support for the Red Lines rally that took place in Kiev today.
According to our information, the AFU nationalists will again “support” the next stage of the protest against Zelensky’s actions in Kiev at 19:00 (Ukrainian time) by shelling our territory.
We call on the international monitors to intervene in what is happening and make the Ukrainian military commanders restore order and respect the current ceasefire on the part of their uncontrolled subordinates.
Only a proactive stance of the OSCE SMM will prevent possible civilian casualties and destruction of the civil infrastructure of our Republic.
