27,211 objects of the Republic’s residential housing — apartment and private individual residential buildings — have sustained damage during the course of the hostilities, the press service of the Ministry of Construction and Housing reports.

“Among the damaged objects, 1,322 apartment buildings and 8,800 private houses were significantly damaged, 68 apartment buildings and 2,143 private houses were completely destroyed. To date, 11,191 houses have been restored (2,120 apartment buildings and 9,071 private houses). About 41% of the total number of damaged housing have been restored,” representatives of the Construction Ministry said.

According to the quarterly reports of the cities and districts’ councils of the Republic, according to the most modest estimates, the Republic needs to provide accommodation to 1,809 families who lost their housing due to the Ukrainian shelling. In addition, people living in the combat zone, along with other categories of citizens, are in need of accommodation.

1,369 social facilities have also sustained damage (about 700 of which have been restored).
