Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin believes it’s reasonable to call off the curfew in the village of Sedovo by the next holiday season. He said this today, on December 19, having listened to the report on the work done by Novoazovsky District’s administration and the plans for 2020, a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports.

The main area of activity of Novoazovsky District’s administration was the reconstruction of residential buildings and social facilities damaged by hostilities.

“Novoazovsky District has been a hot spot in the south of the DPR for over five years. Thus, out of 42 populated localities of the district, 13 are located at the delimitation line and repeatedly come under AFU fire. Taking into account these circumstances, the administration has determined the priority areas of development, at whose implementation the efforts of all agencies and companies of all forms of ownership are aimed. One of such areas is the reconstruction of the district’s infrastructure and the stable operation of critical infrastructure facilities. More than 800 residential buildings and more than 20 social facilities have been damaged or destroyed during the hostilities in Novoazovsky District. Construction brigades more than 35 people strong have started the work in the district since April this year. They have repaired 62 residential buildings in Sahhanka, 5 houses in Krasnoarmeyskoye, as well as three social facilities,” Oleg Morgun said.

The head of the district administration focused on the development plans of Sedovo as the only resort locality for residents of both the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.

“In 2020 it is planned to reinforce the coastline of the locality and provide the sea front with public amenities, carry out a major overhaul of Georgy Sedov Museum. Development of the resort zone will give a significant growth in incomes, tax revenues to the budget,” Morgun highlighted.

“The issue of improving the infrastructure of Sedovo has been long overdue and we need a long-term program. With regard to Sedovo, it is probably reasonable to call off the curfew there by the next holiday season. The rest of the information will be provided in the very next few days,” Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin noted.
