Today, on December 23, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka congratulated veteran of the Great Patriotic War Safin Gusman on the coming New Year and handed him the necessary medications, a correspondent of the DPR official website reports.
“Today we paid a visit to Safin Gusman, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and an outstanding man who is not only the keeper of the great history of our people, but also a man who passes it on to the youth. He often meets up with the younger generation and tells them about the feats that our great grandfathers performed during the Great Patriotic War. Our duty is not to forget such people, they should not feel alone. I have known Safin Gusman personally for more than ten years, and today, by tradition, I have congratulated him on the coming New Year holidays, handed him sweets and medicines that he needs. It is necessary to care of every veteran so they can know they performed their feat not in vain,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.
Note that Safin Gusman is a participant in the breaking of the Leningrad siege, he volunteered for frontline duty on the first day of the war at the age of 17.
