5,565 patients from the temporarily Ukraine-controlled territory of the Donetsk region have received highly qualified medical care at the republican institutions of the DPR Ministry of Health since the beginning of 2019, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
Owing to the operating Humanitarian Programme for the Reunification of Donbass People, 270 women have received high-quality medical care in the sector of obstetric care and operative gynecology at the Donetsk Republican Centre for Maternal and Child Welfare under the DPR Healthcare Ministry.
Based on the Donetsk Clinical Territorial Medical Association under the DPR Ministry of Health, there keeps operating the sector of “Providing multifunctional specialized outpatient and clinical medical care.” In this sector, the DCTMA specialists have provided medical care to 3,791 patients and 24 residents of the Donetsk region, temporarily controlled by Kiev, received highly specialized medical care in the sector of “Implantation of heart rhythm disturbance correction devices (pacemakers).” 51 patients received highly specialized medical care in the sector of “Implantation of intraocular lenses” .
The Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital under the DPR Ministry of Health also continues to implement the Humanitarian Programme for the Reunification of Donbass People. In addition to the already existing sector of “Chemotherapy for Oncological Diseases in Children”, a new sector has been opened since the turn of 2018 — “The provision of multifunctional specialized outpatient and clinical medical care.” And now the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital is a reference multifunctional hospital for children from all over Donbass, where 368 small patients have already received highly qualified outpatient and clinical care. As part of the “Vaccination” sector, 154 children have received free medical care at the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital under the DPR Ministry of Health.
As part of the Humanitarian Programme, the Republican Trauma Center under the DPR Healthcare Ministry provides medical assistance in the sector of “Endoprosthetics of hip joints”, in which 66 hip prostheses have been implanted at the Center free of charge, and in the sector of “Surgical treatment of degenerative diseases and spinal injuries”, in which ten persons have received the necessary medical care.
The Republican Oncology Center name after Professor G.V. Bondar and the Institute of Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery named after V.K. Gusak admits patients (both adults and children), the treatment of which requires non-standard therapeutic tactics and surgical interventions in the sector of “Chemotherapy for oncological diseases in adults” and “Chemotherapy for oncohematological diseases in adults / children.” Thus, since the beginning of 2019, over 950 seriously ill patients have come for quality treatment, including surgical treatment in these sectors.
