DPR Minister of Revenues and Taxes Yevgeny Lavryonov commented on the situation with the investment climate in the Republic in an interview with a correspondent of the DPR official website.

“Any negotiation process is always good thing, because there takes place an exchange of opinions, impressions, experience, there emerge some new contacts and common ground. Denis Vladimirovich Pushilin conducted quite active political work on establishing contacts in 2019. For the first time in the history of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR stands were presented at the Yalta Economic Forum. The Republic’s delegation attended the Economic Forum in St. Petersburg for the first time. Along with that, our delegation visited Syria. The task has been set for us to attend the Sochi Economic Forum in February. I believe we will be there,” Yevgeny Lavryonov said.

The Minister of Revenues and Taxes also noted that there are issues that have been stated and a search is currently under way for their solution.

“First of all, there goes a cash flow task. We understand how to interact with the Russian Federation, we share a common border. As for the Syrian Arab Republic, for us it is a very important strategic partner with which we must find common issues in the economy. When we can fully establish trade relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, we will achieve a significant breakthrough. Therefore, I hope that in 2020 we will be able to the issues we are facing.

The Economic Forum that took place in the Republic showed that the DPR is of interest to a number of European states and African countries. They have the will to cooperate with us. Therefore, this experience should be continued on a regular basis and this will have a positive effect,” Yevgeny Lavryonov said.
