Shortly before, Darya Olifer, the spokesperson for Ukrainian envoy to the TCG Leonid Kuchma, claimed that the elections in Donbass could be held only after Ukraine gained full control over the border, and the return of refugees and their participation in the elections could ensure long-term peace, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka commented on this statement.

“In response to Darya Olifer, I can say that long-term peace in Donbass can be ensured in a simpler way. Ukraine should begin to consistently implement all the items of the Complex of Measures and also stop their attacks on our territories. By the way, this is what Zelensky promised, running for his presidential office. However, we regularly read the reasoning of Ukrainian politicians instead, about how the elections should be held in Donbass and what should be done for that. At the same time, they do not hesitate to study international experience in this field, but for some reason they are completely unfamiliar with such a document as the Minsk Agreements, which the representatives of Ukraine signed.

Such statements suggest that Kiev could not care less about the well-being of internally displaced persons and refugees. After all, if Zelensky really wanted peace, he would simply stick to the Minsk Agreements. But for the six years of the conflict we have heard only his populist statements, unfounded accusations against us, and have not seen any real steps to end the war. This once again proves the hypocrisy and meanness of Ukraine’s new president,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.
