Ukrainian militants fired at 18 localities of the Republic over the past week, breaking the ceasefire 50 times, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on January 24.
“The enemy again violated the truce by firing at the territory of the Republic 108 mortar shells, 167 grenades of various types and 300 rounds with IFV guns. As a result of the shelling carrying out by the AFU, one of the defenders of the Republic’s borders was killed, we express our sincere condolences to his family and friends,” Colonel Basurin said.
The Vice-Commander of the Operational Command emphasized that all the information with photos and videos attached had been sent to representatives of international organizations based in the Republic and submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office for criminal proceedings to be initiated against war criminals — brigade commanders giving orders to open fire at the localities of the Republic— Shapovalov, Ivanov, Kashchenko, Marchenko, Kokorev, Goncharuk and Zubanich.
