In anticipation of the Trilateral Contact Group’s meeting in Minsk on January 29, the joint forces operation’s commanders have stepped up attacks on populated localities of the Lugansk People’s Republic, trying to thwart the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict, the press service of the LPR People’s Militia reported on January 28.
“Today at 15:15 militants of the 93rd AFU brigade, on the orders of war criminal Bryzhinsky, shelled Berezovskoye with a 120mm mortar, having fired seven rounds.
Information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and casualties among the civilian population is being specified.
Our units are fully committed to the ceasefire agreements and do not respond to the provocations.
We call on OSCE monitors to document the cases of ceasefire violation by Ukraine, as well as to influence the Ukrainian armed formations in order to maintain the ceasefire agreed,” the LPR People’s Militia press service stated.
