On February 1, the capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic hosted a conference of the Forum for the Salvation of Mariupol Public Organization under the theme “The Victory at Stalingrad: the immortal feat of Homeland defenders — the defeat of the German fascist forces. The historical truth,” a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.
The conference was attended by DPR People’s Council deputy and Head of the Forum for the Salvation of Mariupol Public Organization Irina Popova, DPR People’s Council deputies Fedor Berezin and Sergey Abukov, militia member Russell Bentley, as well as people from the currently Ukraine-controlled territories of Donbass.
During the conference, there were made reports on the significance and necessity of preserving the historical truth about the immortal feat of the Soviet people and the defeat of the German fascist forces at the legendary Battle of Stalingrad, which lasted 200 days and nights.
At the end of the event, all those present observed a moment of silence as a tribute to all those who perished in the Great Patriotic War.
