Over the past day, the armed formations of Ukraine opened fire on the areas of Republic localities eight times, spokesman for the DPR PMD Dmitry Astrakhan reported at the briefing in Donetsk on February 11.

“On the Gorlovka front, militants of the 58th brigade engaged the village of Gagarin Mine and Shirokaya Balka twice by using 82mm mortars.

On the Donetsk front, forces of the 28th brigade armed with infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms engaged Staromikhaylovka and Aleksandrovka. Militants of the 56th and 92nd brigades using 82mm mortars shelled Mikhaylovka and the Donetsk airport.

On the Mariupol front, the 10th brigade opened fired on Sakhanka with anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and victims among civilians is being clarified,” Dmitry Astrakhan stated.

He also noted that Ukrainian armed formations actively thwarted the work of OSCE SMM monitors in order to conceal the deployment of prohibited weapons.

“Over the past 24 hours, we detected a Bukovel-AD EW station having been used by the militants from the 20th AFU EW battalion in the responsibility zone of the 58th brigade in order to jam the control channels of the Mission’s drone in Novgorodskoye and Sukhaya Balka.

In addition to using electronic warfare, the armed formations continue firing at the monitors’ drones,” Dmitry Astrakhan noted.
