The villagers of Yasnoye in the suburbs of Dokuchayevsk have been left without power supply due to attacks by the armed formations of Ukraine. The village was cut off power on February 17 at 19:00, the DPR Coal and Energy Ministry’s press service reports.

As a result of Kiev militants’ firing, a 6 kV power line is down, 5 electrical substation are de-energized. 520 residential subscribers, a kindergarten, a pump house and a boiler house are remaining without power. That is, the villagers have been left not only without electricity, but also with no heating.

It was not possible to carry out repair work at night, since the power line goes in the near vicinity of the delimitation line. This morning, specialists from the Republic Enterprise Regional Energy Supply Company began to survey the line despite the danger.

If they manage to remedy the damage without agreeing on a ceasefire mode with the Ukrainian side, electricity will come back to the village in the very near future.
