I wholeheartedly congratulate the citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic on Defender of the Fatherland Day!
For us February 23 is a nationwide holiday, uniting those who, both on the frontlines and in the rear, are fighting with courage for a quite and peaceful life in our country.
On the eve of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, today we are addressing the warmest wishes to the brotherhood of the victors who defeated Nazism and fought to their death for the freedom of their native land. The feat of the Soviet people can not be measured. Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be brought up with it as the major story of courage and an eternal example of devotion to the Motherland.
Thanks to all those who is guarding the borders of the Republic in combat positions today. After all, it is precisely the defense reliability that is the key to peaceful constructive labour of hundreds of thousands of civilians.
I would like to separately congratulate on this day the female soldiers, who, knowing firsthand the hardships of military service, are honourably following the path chosen. You deserve the greatest possible respect and profound gratitude of our residents!
