The Investigation Division of the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office has opened and is investigating a criminal case against commander of the 58th AFU separate motorized infantry brigade D. V. Kaschenko and military personnel subordinate to him for committing an act constituting the crime under Article 229, Section 2 (a), (c) of the DPR Criminal Code (terrorist act), the law enforcement agency’s press service reported on February 25.

It was established that on February 23, 2020 military personnel of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade, on the orders from brigade commander D. V. Kaschenko, engaged the urban-type village of Golmovsky, Nikitovsky District of Gorlovka, by using grenade launchers and small arms. This resulted in damage to the houses at 8 and 10 Stepana Babiya Street and a gas pipeline line. A car, the summer kitchen and a garage of the house at 20 Fatiyevoy Street, a garage of the house at 21 Fatiyevoy Street and the fence of the house at 22 Fatiyevoy Street are damaged. In addition, the attack resulted in damage to the houses at 13 and 15 Palladina Street and the fence of the house at 36 Sovietskoy Armii Street. At present, investigators of the Prosecutor General’s Office are conducting the necessary investigative activities.
