Specialists from the Regional Energy Supply Company Republic Enterprise have completed repair works to the 10 kV power line RP-5085-Luganskoye, which was damaged last night by mortar fire from Kiev militants. Electricity got back to 460 residential users in the village Signalnoye.

According to a duty officer of the DPR Coal and Energy Ministry, a detailed survey of the line had allowed to establish that the scale of damage significantly exceeded the results of the brief survey. Shell fragments of the armed formations of Ukraine broke or seriously cut wires in the spans of supports No. 179 to No. 187.

“Despite such an extensive amount of damage, electricians carried out emergency repairs in the shortest possible time, restored the integrity of the line and resumed the power supply to the village of Signalnoye at 12:10 pm.

Now the power supply works normally in all three localities that had outages last night,” the Ministry noted.

Recall, on March 3, at 18:05, as a result of the AFU mortar attack, the 10 kV power line RP-5085-Luganskoye was down and 22 electrical substations were de-energized. 1164 residential users, as well as a boiler house, a school and a kindergarten, were completely without electricity in the villages of Signalnoye, Luganskoye, and partially Yelenovka.

Electricians were able to power 17 electrical substations at 19:45, having brought electricity back to the houses of Yelenovka and Luganskoye. Due to the scale of damage, it was impossible to restore the power supply to Signalnoye on March 3.
