On March 9, Kuibyshevsky District of Donetsk hosted a parade in honor of veteran Alexey Klimov, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.
The event was attended by Head of Kuibyshevsky District’s Administration Ivan Adamets, activists of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement and the Young Republic Public Prganization, Yunarmiya members, cadets, military students from Donetsk Higher All-Troops Command College, Donetsk Internal Affairs Academy and Civil Defense Academy under the Emergencies Ministry.
“Patriotic education of youth is very important. Children should know and understand how things really were, listen to the truth firsthand. Neither film nor literature will convey it the way a veteran can tell it,” Ivan Adamets said.
Ceremonial crews of cadets, military students and Yunarmiya members marched to the songs of war years in the ceremonial parade in honor of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. During the event, they handed presents and flowers over to the veterans.
