The armed formations of Ukraine opened fire at populated localities of the Republic 30 times over the past day, official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Dmitry Astrakhan reported at the briefing in Donetsk on March 14.

“On the Gorlovka front, militants of the 58th brigade engaged 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, along with heavy machine guns and small arms, to fire at the villages of the Gagarin mine and the 6/7 mine.

On the Donetsk front, from the positions of the 92nd, 128th, and 57th brigades, there were engaged 120mm and 82mm mortars, along with heavy machine guns and small arms, to fire at Petrovskoye, Staromikhaylovka, Elenovka, Yasinovataya, Vasilievka, Zhabichevo, the villages of the Oktyabrskaya mine and the Trudovskaya mine, as well as ​​the Donetsk airport area.

On the Mariupol front, militants of the 128th brigade engaged heavy machine guns and small arms at Petrovskoye,” Dmitry Astrakhan said.

He also added that last night at 1:35 militants of the 58th brigade fired at the Gagarin mine’s village with 122mm artillery, launching 10 shells at the village. As a result of the shelling, in the village of Kurganka there was damaged a high-voltage power line. More than 1,000 subscribers were cut off power supply, and boiler rooms No. 13, 14 and 15 were de-energized. Emergency services are working to restore electricity.

In addition to that, three civilians were injured: a man born in 1952, a woman born in 1959, and a 14-year-old teenager. The affected persons were admitted to Gorlovka City Hospital No. 2, where they were provided with qualified medical care. Currently, their life and health are out of danger.

Also, according to updated data, in Gorlovka eight residential buildings sustained damage at 32, 34, 36, 38, 41, 42 and 43 Generala Batyuka Street and at 28 Artyomovskoye Highway.

In addition, today at 11:05 a.m. militants of the 28th AFU brigade opened fire on Signalnoye with 82mm mortars, as a result of which a civilian born in 1935 was wounded, and two residential buildings at 12 and 16 Gagarina Street were damaged, as well as power lines, supplying electricity to Signalnoye and northern suburbs of Elenovka.
