The Investigations Division of the DPR General Prosecutor’s Office investigates two criminal cases against commander of the 58th AFU separate motorized infantry brigade D.V. Kaschenko and commander of the 28th AFU separate mechanized brigade M.M. Marchenko, as well as military personnel subordinate to them, for committing terrorist acts under Article 229, Section 2 (a), (c) of the DPR Criminal Code, the press service of the law enforcement agency reported on March 16.

It was established that on March 14th, 2020, military personnel of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade, on the orders of commander D.V. Kaschenko, launched a mortar attack on the village of Nikitovka, Gorlovka, which resulted in fragmentation wounds of three civilians, including a minor born 2006, who were in the house at 34 Batyuka Street.

On the same day, military personnel of the 28th separate mechanized brigade, on the orders of commander M.M. Marchenko, engaged the village of Signalnoye, Petrovsky District of Donetsk, as a result of which a man born 1935, who was in the yard of the house at 12 Pushkina Street, suffered fragmentation wounds of which he subsequently died.

The necessary investigative activities are being carried out now.
