Ukrainian armed formations engaged heavy fire on Gorlovka at night, causing damage to two high-voltage power lines, and several neighbourhoods of the city were de-energized. The press service of the Coal and Energy Ministry reported the details.

On March 17, at 23:39, there was damaged the RP-32-TP-1031 6kV overhead line, which fed 8 transforming substations, and 965 households in Rtutny and Kurganka villages of Gorlovka were de-energized.

Kiev forces continued shelling the city, and at 1:16 a.m. on March 18, another high-voltage line, the 35kV-class Ugolno-Rtutnaya-GPP-2, was disconnected, the 35kV GPP-2 substation was de-energized, and 3 transforming substations were cut off power. According to the Gorlovka Regional Energy Supply Company, no household subscribers and social facilities were de-energized there, since power engineers have shifted the power supply circuit after the same line had been damaged by the Saturday’s AFU shelling.

Specialists of the district branch of the Central Electric Networks of the Republican Regional Energy Supply Company are already inspecting lines and substations for damage. Combat conditions permitting, repair works will be carried out as soon as possible.
