The coronavirus infection is rampant throughout the world. DPR People’s Council deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky, in an interview with a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, spoke about measures to counteract the disease spread.

“We prohibit entry to persons from Ukraine, because the epidemic outbreak has so far reached grave proportions there. Citizens arriving from the Russian Federation are obliged to comply with the self-imposed isolation regime for a period of 14 days. This does not extend only to those traveling abroad to obtain a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. In addition, drivers of cargo vehicles delivering the necessary goods to the Republic are not subject to self-isolation, provided they stay in the country for a short period of time.

We warn citizens against travelling to the territory of Russia, since the epidemiological situation there is also complicated. Upon return, it will be necessary to observe a self-isolation regime, for the violation of which the People’s Council has introduced administrative liability. In addition, the Republics legislation provides for criminal penalties for infecting others,” Vladislav Berdichevsky said.
