Today, on April 3, personnel of the Republican Health Center under the DPR Health Ministry trained the nursing staff in biomaterial sampling necessary for patients to be tested for the coronavirus infection, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.
In the course of the training session, there was demonstrated proper arrangement of the workplace, protective equipment and biomaterial’s sampling to be diagnosed, its further preparation for storage and transportation, and all the necessary actions that must be carried out by junior specialists with medical training were clarified.
“In the face of the coronavirus infection, timely and correct diagnosis is of utmost importance. Laboratory diagnostics carried out in the Republic is high-level and medical facilities are fully provided with the necessary test systems. The reliability and quality of the result depends on the professional actions of medical personnel. Therefore, this training is aimed to demonstrate the operating procedure of a healthcare worker,” Tatiana Kolesnikova, Chief Consultant Expert in Laboratory Diagnostics at the DPR Health Ministry, commented.
According to the Head of the Republican Health Center, the Republican Consultant Expert in Nursing at the DPR Health Ministry, Tatiana Yozhikova, work has been undertaken in all medical institutions of the Republic to train junior medical personnel.
“The DPR Ministry of Health has formulated methodological recommendations for citizens, doctors and medically trained nurses. All healthcare workers have been trained in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the coronavirus infection,” Yozhikova said.
She also stressed that this master class is held exclusively for medical professionals and is aimed to improve their skills in the fight against COVID-19.
