Ukrainian militants fired at the territory of the Republic 25 times over the past 24 hours, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on April 3.

“On the Gorlovka front, militants of the 59th and 58th brigades engaged 120mm and 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to fire at Zaitsevo, Ozeryanovka, Shirokaya Balka and the 6/7 mine’s village.

On the Donetsk front, from the positions of the 57th, 54th and 28th brigades, there were engaged 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, IFV guns, anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Spartak, Kashtanovoye, Yasinovataya, Zhabichevo, Staromikhailovka, Signalnoye, the Trudovskaya mine’s village, and Donetsk airport.

On the Mariupol front, militants of the 10th and 128th brigades engaged 120mm mortars, IFV guns, automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to fire at Yasnoye and Kominternovo,” Eduard Basurin said.

He also added that ten residential buildings and one infrastructure facility had been damaged as a result of shelling of Staromikhailovka. In addition to that, damage caused by shelling to two residential buildings was registered yesterday in Kominternovo.

Further information on the damage caused to civil infrastructure and casualties among civilians is being specified.
