In the past 24 hours, the armed formations of Ukraine nine times fired at the Republic’s populated localities, spokesman for the DPR PMD Oleg Nikitin reported at the briefing on April 8 in Donetsk.

“On the Gorlovka front, militants of the 58th brigade armed with 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars shelled Shirokaya Balka and the village of Gagarin Mine.

The artillery shelling of the village of Shirokaya Balka resulted in damage to a power line, the village was cut off power and 224 consumers remained without electricity. Thanks to the prompt action of the emergency services, and electricity supply was restored to the village.

On the Donetsk front, the 28th, 54th and 57th brigades armed with 120mm and 82mm mortars, IFV guns, rocket launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms shelled Vasilyevka, Krutaya Balka, the village of Trudovskaya Mine and Donetsk Airport,” Oleg Nikitin said.

He also added that yesterday militants of the 57th brigade shelled Spartak with 82mm mortars, having damaged power lines and three residential buildings at 29, 31 and 43 Chapayeva Street.

In addition, at 9:55, fighters of the 54th brigade, despite the provided security guarantees, opened a targeted sniper fire on the convoy of cars with employees of the Vasilyevka first stage pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbassky conduit.
