DPR Ombudsperson Darya Morozova commented on the results of the recent round of Minsk talks:
“After the talks, which lasted for a considerable time, we still managed to persuade the representatives of Ukraine to conduct an exchange before Easter holidays, as well as to determine its venue.
The parties managed to agree on the exchange of detainees according to the formula 10 to 8. We remind that we had been ready for the exchange as early as by the previous TCG meeting. However, unfortunately, our opponents rejected the formula previously proposed. But today we were able to insistently prove the importance and humanity of this process. We express the hope that in the future everything will proceed without changes and according to the plan previously agreed,” the ombudsperson said.
This meeting of the Contact Group is over, another meeting is scheduled for April 22.
