Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin expressed his gratitude to the deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation who had put forward a draft law on exemption from the duty on granting citizenship to persons permanently residing in the DPR and the LPR and having the right to apply for Russian citizenship based on the simplified procedure.
“We thank the deputies of the State Duma and the authors of the draft law on the abolition of the state duty for our citizens applying for Russian passports. The great friends of our Republic proposed an initiative that is very timely and important for the people of Donbass. In the conditions of the crisis that our region is going through, not everyone can afford such an amount.
Russia is the only country that has been defending our rights and freedoms thus far. Thank you, brothers!” Denis Pushilin said.
