Epidemiological situation and COVID-19 expansion worldwide as of April 17

As of April 17, 8:00 AM MSK, the number of people infected has totaled 2,182,424 worldwide (daily increase: 99,841 cases, 4.8%). 2,098,600 cases have been registered in 181 countries of the world without China (daily increase: 99,814 cases, 5%), Russia’s Rospotrebnadzor informs.

According to the daily report of the National Health Commission of China as of April 17, 83,824 cases of the infection have been registered in China. Daily increase: 27 cases, 0.03%.

As previously reported, 32 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
