Over the past 24 hours, the armed formations of Ukraine launched fire on Republic localities 11 times, spokesman for the DPR PMD Dmitry Astrakhan reported at the briefing in Donetsk on April 30.
From the Donetsk front, militants of the 28th brigade commanded by Marchenko and 128th brigade commanded by Goncharuk opened fire on Staromihaylovka, Yelenovka, Yasnoye, Dokuchayevsk and the village of Trudovskaya Mine by using 122mm artillery systems, 82mm mortars, IFVs, anti-tank rocket launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
The firing resulted in damage to the civil infrastructure. A boiler house at 1B Lenina St. and power lines are damaged in Yasnoye, so the village was experiencing outages for a long time. Artillery fire damaged 3 residential buildings at 17, 42 and 43 Zhukovskogo St., Staromikhaylovka.
The commander of the 1st howitzer self-propelled artillery battalion, lieutenant colonel Podvysotsky, was adjusting the shelling of Staromikhaylovka with a UAV. The Ukrainian drone was downed thanks to the skillful and well-coordinated actions of our air defense units.
Also today at 7.40 a.m., occupiers shelled Vasilyevka with 120mm mortars. The roof of the house at 86 Krasnaya St. was damaged by a direct shell hit during the shelling carried out early this morning.
Materials on the cases of attacks have been sent to representatives of international organizations stationed in the Republic, as well as to the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office, the statement reads.
