Emergency repair teams promptly fixed the DPR power grid on the Donetsk and Gorlovka fronts. It was damaged this morning by shells of the armed forces of Ukraine, the Coal and Energy Ministry’s press service reports.

Two power lines were damaged simultaneously as Kiev militants launched fire: an 110kV line and another 10kV line that supplies a poultry plant in Yasinovataya and partly the village of Krasny Partizan.

The first line was backup, so Gorlovka did not experience outages, but some streets in the village were left without electricity.

Electricians managed to fix the lines within the shortest possible time, both lines resumed operation at 15:30.

The specialists today also managed to replace an electrical substation that was destroyed by Ukrainian militants by direct hit on April 15. Residents of five streets in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk had been experiencing extremely weak voltage for almost a month, as the substation is located in the direct line of sight from AFU positions, and the Ukrainian party did not guarantee the safety of repair works. It was agreed only for today, May 14.

With the support of DPR representatives to the JCCC, the OSCE SMM, and with the direct participation of a rapid response team of the Regional Power Supply Company, the electricians installed a new electrical substation and carried out the necessary adjustment work. The emergency repair teams returned the normal power supply to 13 apartment buildings and 80 detached houses in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
