Veterans of the Donetsk People’s Republic were congratulated on the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory on May 17, a correspondent of the DPR official website reports.
The Parade For A Veteran campaign was held on May 17 in Shakhtyorsk, Snezhnoye and Torez. Cadets of Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School marched in honor of GPW veterans Nikolai Kortyshkov, Fedor Yakovlev, Nikolai Voloshin and Vera Dyachenko. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, People’s Council MPs and public activists. The campaign was initiated and organized by the Donetsk Republic Public Movement.
At all the parades, the cadets did a march-past and sang the Victory Day song. The veterans were given flowers then.
