The Investigations Division of the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office has opened a criminal case against commander of the 28th AFU separate mechanized brigade, M.M. Marchenko, and his subordinate military personnel, under Article 229, Section 2 (a),(c) of the DPR Criminal Code.
It was established that on May 19, 2020, military personnel of the 28th separate mechanized brigade, by order of their commander M.M. Marchenko, shelled the village of Staromikhaylovka, Kirovsky district, Donetsk, with 122mm artillery. The houses at 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 21, 23, 27 and 29 Ivana Marchenko Street are damaged, as well as an outbuilding of the house number 8, garage of the house number 10, two cars in the yard of the house number 13 and a playground located in this street.
Case officers of the Prosecutor General’s Office are currently carrying out the necessary investigative activities.
