It is not Kiev but the Donetsk People’s Republic that decides who will be authorized to represent the interests of its residents at the negotiation venue in Minsk, DPR Head Denis Pushilin stated.

“In order to deadlock the negotiation process, Ukraine is intentionally forcing discussions about who has the right to participate in it. Their stand is non-constructive, malicious and fraud.

No one gave them the right to classify our citizens as a terrorist organization. No body or international institution ever recognized the residents of the republics as such and could not recognize them,” Denis Pushilin explained.

According to the DPR Head, the statements by Ukrainian politicians derail the five years of peace dialogue in Minsk, the alternative to which is war.

“Ukraine demonstrates this choice also at the line of contact by constantly shelling populated localities of the Republic. Kiev is forcing political and military escalation of the conflict,” Denis Pushilin concluded.
