June 4 is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. 91 children have died and 261 suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity as the result of hostilities of Ukrainian armed forces against the Donetsk People’s Republic. The blame for these crimes rests with the Kiev officials, DPR Head Denis Pushilin stated.

“At that, Ukraine is a state party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1989. Thus Ukraine committed itself to “take all feasible measures to ensure protection and care of children who are affected by an armed conflict”, as well as to comply with the rules of international humanitarian law applicable in case of armed conflict and relative to children.

Today’s date is a reminder that such atrocities shall not go unpunished. We have all the evidence of Kiev’s war crimes against humanity, for which Ukraine must be held accountable,” the Head of the Republic stressed.
