Ukrainian subversives have recently stepped up their activities. A short while ago, my Twitter account was hacked, and today [on June 6] the same thing happened to the page on the VKontakte social network.

At the same time, they have posted false information on the hacked accounts, claiming that we are ready allegedly to entitle those who ran away from here in the midst of the conflict to represent the interests of Donbass in Minsk.

Apparently, our opponents realize they will not gain traction on this absurd idea of theirs openly and honestly. They are trying to “endorse” it on my behalf in this hypocritical way.

In reality, everything is simple and clear: those people who live and work here only can decide the fate of our region. Those who know what it is to suffer the Ukrainian army’s attacks, years-long blockade, infringement on rights and freedoms. Those who rallied to the defense of their Homeland and risk their lives every day to stop Ukraine’s aggression.

No matter how badly Kiev wants to talk in Minsk with manageable people, whom the Security Service of Ukraine found and brainwashed, even if they used to relate to Donbass once, it has nothing to do with the real purpose of the peace process. We shall remind once again that the Minsk venue was formed to arrange for a dialogue between Kiev and the Republics, the two parties to the conflict. That is what is enshrined in the Complex of Measures and in the UN Security Council Resolution as the basic principle of peaceful settlement.

The statements that both the Ukrainian president and officials are issuing now at every turn confirm the meanness and dirtiness of the current Ukrainian leadership. Kiev refuses to negotiate with us directly, and does not even hide its intentions to withdraw from the Minsk process, which is the only opportunity to resolve the conflict peacefully.

Kiev cares for the fates of the Donbass residents no better than for loose change. We call on the world community to stop the provocative policy of Kiev before the Ukrainian president’s ambitions lead to irreversible consequences.
